In 1866 the 78th Highlanders regiment was posted to Canada, and between 1869 and 1871, they formed part of the regular garrison in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

These days, our 78th Highlanders perform displays of traditional military tactics and music within the walls of the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site in Nova Scotia. They also bring this unique part of Nova Scotia to military tattoos, highland games, heritage festivals and trade conventions.
